State Level Thiruvasakam Debate Competition
The State Level Thiruvasakam Debate Competition organized by the Human Resources and Environment Development Foundation with the Thiruvasakam recited by Rev. Manickavagar as the theme was held at Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Nursery and Primary School, Kumbakonam on Sunday, 10.08.2025, in appreciation of the students who participated in the State Level Thiruvasakam Debate Competition and expressed their views well.
The Thiruvasakam Othwar of Kumbakonam Adhikumbeswarar Temple, Madhavan Othwar inaugurated the Thirumuraigal Othi program. This was followed by a dance presentation by the students of Jaya Nrityalaya Abhirami Karthikeyan. On behalf of the Heartfulness organization, coordinators Srinivasan and Gunasundari provided mindfulness meditation training.
The function was presided over by the Secretary of Thirukudanthai Thirumurai Mandram, Sabha P. Mahalingam. Swami Gorakshananda Saraswati, Joint Secretary of the All India Sannyasi Association, attended the function and delivered the benediction.
Students and youth from various districts who participated in the competitions were felicitated by Sabarimala Ayyappa Seva Samajam State Joint Secretary Selvaraj, Thanjavur District President Rajanayakam, Anbalaya Mohan, Nallasiri Veeraragavan, Sathya Sai Ganesan, Akhil Bharata Ayyappa Seva Sangam Thanjavur District Secretary Navaneethakrishnan, Thiruvarutpa Iyal Isai Mandar member Dhanaraman, Narayanan, Jayachandran, former district president of Bharatiya Janata Party Sathishkumar, Vedam Murali, Selvaraj, Dharma Rakshna Samithi administrators Balaji, Bharathan, Thirukutthai Sivabhoothagana Thirukkutta Adiyaar, Kumbakonam Aaduthurai Thiruvasaka Muttothal Group Adiyaar, Uzhavarapuni Adiyaar, Palaniyappillai, Anandan, Vaidyanathan, Valangaiman Shirdi Sai Dhyana Peedam Sai Uma. Thiagarajan, Village Priests' Council Karthik, Jeeva, Kanchanur Swayamprakasar Worship Center Vilvanathan, Chakrapani Velar, Kumbakonam Indian Red Cross President Rosario, Sivakumar and dignitaries from various organizations presented certificates of appreciation and awards.
Foundation President Sabapathy gave a speech on the occasion. Earlier, Mathivanan welcomed the gathering.
Ambika gave a vote of thanks at the end. The event was coordinated by Mahalakshmi, Vinothini, Lokeswari, Jamunarani, Aparnasree and Bhuvaneswari.
